Family Separation is not a new tool used by autocratic governments. Yet this threat is once again all over the news – especially child safety in light of the immigration practices and increasing occurrences of natural disasters. This program will review the newly enacted Family Preparedness Act (AB 495) and how it supports our locally developed Childcare Safety Plan which helps families provide for the care of their children if they are not available. Learn about this free toolkit shared by Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito and Alameda Counties to ease the fear of family separation and create the legal document every family deserves.
