Dan Bradley Fellowship

Armando Valles, California Desert Trail Academy College of Law ’19, received a Dan Bradley Fellowship to work at California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc. during Summer 2016.

Each year, LAAC offers the Dan Bradley Fellowship to fund law students who want to spend their summer working at a LAAC member legal aid organization. The Fellowship is awarded to outstanding students who want to pursue a career in public interest law and who want to spend their summer working in a rural area or on a rural issue. The Dan Bradley Fellowship not only gives law students the opportunity to explore a career in legal services, it offers legal services programs a new source of dedicated and energetic summer staff. read more>>

Dana Schumacher, 2015 Family Law Award2015 Family Law Award honorees is Dana Schumacher, Coordinator, Self Help Legal Access Centers, Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles.

Each year the Family Law Awards recognizes three family law advocates for their outstanding dedication and commitment to legal services for low-income Californians. The Family Law Awards are given in threee categories:

  • Direct Representation (legal services family attorney)
  • Pro Bono Work (private attorney)
  • Family Law Facilitator or Self-Help Center Service Provider
