Too many older Californians on fixed-incomes are duped into participating in Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) programs leaving them stuck with increased property tax bills by hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year and subjecting them to the very real risk of losing their home to foreclosure. This webinar will describe the PACE program, the laws and rules governing the program, as well as the ways in which the current absence of consumer protections and PACE program and financing practices harm low-income Californians, particularly older Californians. We will also discuss litigation and proposed legislation involving the program.
1 hour of general CLE.
