Despite advocate efforts and administrative systems changes, people with both Medicare and Medi-Cal remain at real risk of being improperly billed by their healthcare providers for services. Come learn about recent administrative changes that will better assist beneficiaries and advocates in combating improper billing, and hear more about a case example where a legal services support center teamed up with a Medicare counseling organization to, based on persistent billing of an individual dually eligible client, push for systemic changes at the institutional provider level.
Presented by: Denny Chan, Justice in Aging and Marcelo Espiritu of Sourcewise.
