Child care subsidies provide a valuable work support for parents and educational benefit for children. The complexities involved in administration of the CalWORKs child care program by two, independent agencies—the Department of Social Services, and the California Department of Education (CDE)—and numerous local contractors, can make helping clients keep these benefits challenging. This webinar will provide an overview of eligibility for and appeal rights in the CalWORKs child care program, with an emphasis on issues that arise in CDE-administered CalWORKs Stage 2 and Stage 3 child care.
