Description

This training will discuss California Housing Protections for Family Child Care Providers. Specifically, the trainers will (1) give an overview of California Child Care Laws – the California Day Care Facilities Act, and the Keeping Kids Close to Home Act (S.B. 234, Skinner); (2) legal protections against local government regulation; (3) legal protections against housing discrimination, and (4) legal protections against unlawful conduct by insurance providers. This training will provide important information on family child care providers’ legal rights, while also providing key resources for housing attorneys to use when advocating for child care provider clients.
