Disability Rights California (DRC) claims that an ordinance issued by the city of San Diego illegally targets people who do not have homes and those who may be living with disabilities. The city has been issuing tickets to oversize vehicles that park overnight in public streets.

DRC has taken bold action by urging city leaders to make modifications to the ordinance. They have not yet received a response. They argue, “Issuing tickets to people who can’t pay the fine isn’t the solution to the problem.” DRC is working with the targeted community, insisting legal action will be made if the issue continues.
