The newly-approved state budget includes debt relief and payment assistance for drivers whose licenses were suspended for failing to pay for traffic tickets.
A report in April by the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights in San Francisco that said 4 million licenses were suspended between 2006 and 2013 due to ticket nonpayment and court fines.
