WHO WE ARE

DRC works to achieve fairness and justice for people with disabilities through individual and impact litigation, state and federal policy and regulatory advocacy, and community education and training.
Peer Self Advocacy Unit (PSA)
In PSA, people with mental health disabilities share experiences. We hold self-advocacy groups and trainings regarding one’s service rights, patients’ rights, and options when living mental health facilities, supported living environments, and in the community. Our purpose is to inform peers and help them speak up, make decisions, help each other and live the lives they choose.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The PSA Trainer provides peer self-advocacy training for people with mental health disabilities who live primarily in locked residential mental health facilities, state hospitals and in the community.
