The staff presently numbers 13, and includes 4 attorneys. In addition, two attorneys provide substantial pro bono services. The current strategic plan envisions steady future growth and an increase in the breadth and depth of legal services to be offered, as well as a renewed focus on outreach activities to potential clients and other stakeholders.
The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors, and is responsible for the legal, operational, and fundraising activities of the organization and is expected to ensure compliance and fostering of collaborative relationships with the Courts, community organizations and the private bar. The new Executive Director is expected to bring passion for LSS’s mission, a clear vision of how the organization can grow its services to the community, and experience in litigation and administration. Experience leading an organization through change, enhancing financial sustainability, and fostering communications and brand development are highly desirable.
