About Law Foundation of Silicon Valley

The Law Foundation of Silicon Valley advances the rights of historically excluded individuals and families across Santa Clara County through legal services, strategic advocacy, and educational outreach. Every day, our attorneys, social workers and advocates craft inventive solutions to the life-changing legal issues facing low-income people in Silicon Valley.

Now with almost 100 employees, the Law Foundation is the largest provider of free legal services in the South Bay. Located in downtown San Jose, the Law Foundation is a dynamic and interesting place to work. We pride ourselves on fostering a work environment that is motivating, collaborative and fun, with plenty of opportunities for professional growth. We are working towards a Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC)-centered, community and movement lawyering-based legal services practice.

Due to COVID-19, the Law Foundation is primarily working remotely through the end of 2021.  The team is currently exploring ways to support continuing flexibility for remote work and expects that most staff will have the opportunity to work remotely for some of their work week.

We serve over 10,000 individuals and families each year with a focus on housing, health, and children and youth.  Highlights of our work includes finding stable homes for foster youth, connecting people with chronic illnesses to the benefits they need to remain healthy and self-sufficient, providing tenants access to safe and affordable housing and policy advocacy and litigation in areas including disability rights, health equity, affordable housing,  immigration, education, and child welfare.  For more details about our innovative programs, please visit our website at www.lawfoundation.org and on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
