"Roadmap to Reentry" - Navigating Legal Barriers for Reentering Californians & Learning to Use the Root & Rebound CA Legal Guide
As advocates working with people in reentry from prison and jail, we are all aware that people in reentry face myriad obstacles and barriers because of their record and incarceration history. Through this training, you will be empowered to better serve these clients and understand their issues. Root & Rebound's "Roadmap to Reentry: A California Legal Guide," is a brand new resource guide available online and in print that covers legal barriers and rights across 9 areas of life for reentering Californians -- including obtaining ID and key documents, voting rights, public benefits, obtaining housing and employment, parole and probation issues, and more. The one-hour interactive webinar will give a broad overview of the material and resources in Root & Rebound's "Roadmap to Reentry" California legal guide, explain how to use this easy-to-navigate tool, and provide interactive exercises and Q&A on reentry legal issues.
